Villarreal have sacked coach Pacheta.
Despite their Europa League win at Maccabi Haifa last night, Pacheta was dismissed by Villarreal this morning.
He was only in charge for a matter of two months after replacing Quique Setien following his sacking.
Miguel ngel Tena, Villarreal's football director, will direct and prepare Sunday's match against Atltico de Madrid.
Marcelino, a free agent after leaving Olympique Marseille, is favourite to succeed Pacheta.
