
MANILA, Philippines — Construction workers on Tuesday unearthed a vintage bomb near the Institute of Chemistry-Teaching building at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP-Diliman) in Quezon City.
Initial report showed that the bomb was found by the workers around 10:15 a.m.
Operatives of the Explosive Ordinance Division of the Quezon City Police District retrieved the bomb safely an hour later.
School officials suspended the classes and ordered the evacuation of all students and personnel inside the building, reports said.
