The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) has taken swift action following a viral video showing several Muslim men cross-dressing at an entertainment event. The incident sparked widespread public reaction, with concerns raised over its alignment with Islamic teachings and Malaysia’s cultural values.
JAKIM director-general Datuk Dr. Sirajuddin Suhaimee addressed the matter in an official statement on the department’s Facebook page, expressing concern over the discomfort the incident caused among the public.
