A durian stall recently went viral after sellers were seen shirtless while promoting their fruit. This incident has sparked mixed reactions online.
In an interview with Astro Gempak, one of the durian sellers explained that removing their shirts was not a publicity stunt but a response to the hot weather.
“We took our shirts off because it was hot. We put them back on when we were selling,” he said.
The seller expressed surprise at the widespread attention the clip received.
“We never expected the clip to go viral. We have never supported negative content of any kind, and everything that happened was not intentional. We would like to apologize to those who were offended by the act,” he added.
He assured the public that they would not repeat the incident and are open to feedback.
“For whatever feedback regarding this incident, we will humbly accept it,” he said.
