SHAH ALAM, Feb 19 — Tourism Selangor has signed a collaboration memorandum with four renowned firms to further push the Visit Selangor Year 2025 (VSY25) campaign.
The memorandum was signed with Sony Malaysia, Batik Air, GL Play by Gamuda Land, and Alpha IVF & Women’s Specialists at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Building here today.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the deal is set to positively impact the VSY25 campaign towards its target of drawing eight million visitors.
“We have over 60 programmes planned for the year as main attractions for VSY25.
“The average tourist arrivals in Selangor is five to six million, so I think the projected increase can be achieved and serve as a good start for Visit Malaysia Year next year,” he told a press conference.

Also present were state executive councillor for local government and tourism Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, Tourism Selangor chief executive officer Chua Yee Ling, and Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) chief executive officer Saipolyazan Mat Yusop.
At the same event, Amirudin witnessed a promotional gimmick of putting official VSY25 stickers on VSY25 Roadshow four-wheel-drives.
He also handed over RM200,000 under the Tourism Association Grant to 20 tourism groups, as well as tourism product accreditations to 21 recipients.
Among the recipients of the grant were the Malaysian Budget Hotel Association, Selangor branch of the Malaysian Hotels Association, Selangor Tourism Drivers Association, and Selangor Homestay Association.
Tourism product accreditations were given to several operators including Sky Mirror, Farm in the City, Zoo Negara, Chocolate Museum, Sunway Lagoon, Splash Mania, and Jump Street Asia.
