vivo Malaysia launches its Merdeka photography challenge, inviting Malaysians to capture iconic landmarks using the vivo X300 Ultra and ZEISS Telephoto Extender.
vivo MALAYSIA is inviting Malaysians to celebrate the nation’s 69th Merdeka in a new way with the launch of its “Shoot Beyond What You See” Challenge, encouraging participants to rediscover iconic landmarks through the powerful telephoto capabilities of the new vivo X300 Ultra.
Running from Aug 3 to Aug 31, the nationwide photography challenge aims to inspire Malaysians to capture familiar landmarks from fresh and unexpected perspectives while showcasing the country’s rich heritage, diversity and shared identity.
The challenge is powered by the vivo X300 Ultra together with the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, which offers an extended focal length range of 400mm to 8100mm. The advanced imaging system enables users to photograph distant landmarks with remarkable clarity, transforming ordinary viewpoints into striking visual compositions.
Participants are encouraged to visit a location of their choice and photograph a well-known Malaysian landmark from afar before sharing the image on social media using the hashtag #MyPerspectiveofMY while tagging the location where the photo was taken.
According to vivo Malaysia, the campaign reflects the spirit of “One Malaysia” by encouraging people from across the country to share their unique perspectives of beloved national landmarks.
Examples include capturing both the PETRONAS Twin Towers and Genting Highlands within a single frame or photographing Merdeka 118 from a distant vantage point, demonstrating how telephoto photography can reveal new ways of appreciating familiar sights.
Beyond celebrating Merdeka, the initiative also serves as a hands-on showcase of the vivo X300 Ultra’s imaging capabilities, allowing users to experience its long-range photography features in real-world settings.
In conjunction with the campaign, vivo Malaysia is also offering exclusive SPayLater promotions at participating vivo Concept Stores in Penang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru.
