The new vivo V60 is an interesting phone for sure. There is a collaboration with POP MART and Zsiga as what we’ve shown here. At least for us here in Malaysia – we also have exclusive, actually useful and good-looking merchandise that includes a silicone case with these things that look like Jibbitz from Crocs shoes. Actually, I should try installing one from my shoe.
But all of that hinges on the phone itself. Is the phone actually good? Let’s find out in today’s review.
Collab with POP MART ZSIGA
So let’s talk about the collaboration with POP MART and ZSIGA. We have som exclusive merch like this phone case, a pouch, and also also a strap too. I think that this collaboration is great as I believe that it makes it feel more worthwhile.
I’m not sure how you can get these exclusive merch for yourself – but maybe we’ll have a giveaway as we don’t have any use for it. We have to return the V60 after we’re done with this review anyway – so do subscribe for more details about it.
Design
As you’ve seen, the entire collaboration between vivo V60 and ZSIGA is all within this purple color range. That’s because the phone has a new purple color that they’re calling it Berry Purple. It’s like a grape purple and I kinda love it.
The phone does have rounded edges and it is quite nice to hold too.
Interestingly, the camera bump looks very familiar… and then I realized that it is actually very similar to how the vivo X200 FE’s camera bump is shaped.
Cameras
So, let’s talk about the cameras first. The vivo V60 has triple cameras, but the ultrawide angle camera is placed outside of the camera bump. Yeah, the X200 FE has this kind of design too. Still, it’s a pretty good since both the main and telephoto cameras are 50MP sensors.

Screen
The screen is actually fine for this phone. The vivo V60 has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 2393×1080 pixel resolution, and goes up to 120Hz refresh rate. With its default color profile, this screen can go up to around 1460 nits in auto brightness mode. Actually very good, to be honest.
The color accuracy is already surprisingly high as it already covers nearly 98% of DCI-P3 already. Though, the ΔE number is a tad bit high but the average is extremely low.
When we headed to the settings menu and turned on the “bright” color profile, the DCI-P3 color gamut coverage goes up to nearly 100%. The maximum ΔE number is also high but the average is still low.
Overall, really great screen. Just leaving it in its default color profile is already good enough, honestly.
Performance
Another surprise with the vivo V60 – it’s using the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset that was released back in May. The performance though, is a bit disappointing. Even at the lowest graphical settings for Genshin Impact, we can at most get 30fps at first but it can thermal throttle and drop to around 30fps only.
Zenless Zone Zero is actually consistent, but it’s below 30fps. At least it doesn’t have any major framerate fluctuations – which is actually more tolerable.
Wuthering Waves seems to have some sort of loading speed issue as there are lots of texture pop-in but the gameplay is overall still okay despite having lower average frame rates.
Despite being a Snapdragon 7 series chipset, it should be more efficient but in actuality, it gets hot real fast while gaming.
Battery life
As for the battery life, this phone comes with a 6,500mAh battery and it can last up to around 23 hours and 15 minutes in our standardized battery life test. Pretty good in that regard.
Charging speed
As for the charging speed, it does come with a 90W proprietary charger in the box and it can charge from 15% to completion in nearly 50 minutes. I’m just going to skip ahead here because even if we enable the fastest charging speed possible in the settings menu, it’ll still take around the same time as well.
Even our USB-PD PPS charger will yield very similar results too. Even when comparing all the three charging tests, they take about the same time to reach the 50% mark too. So good job there vivo, we don’t have to use the proprietary charger and cable to get fast charging. I really appreciate that.
Software
The software though, is basically the same as the vivo V50 and other vivo phones. It’s smooth to use and actually great, though there are definitely still ads. We can remove most of them apps and disable some of the features that shows us the ads – but otherwise, Funtouch OS is a pretty decent one.
A few more things to mention
A few more things to mention here – the vivo V60 does use a USB 2.0 port at the bottom with no display output, has a dual SIM card slot, and has an IR blaster at the top too.
Should you buy the vivo V60?
The ultimate question is – should you buy the vivo V60? Currently, the retail price is exactly the same as the vivo V50, at RM1,999. But, there is something extra too. For online purchases, you can also get it at just RM1,899. That’s an excellent price for this phone.
