vivo V70 FE has officially landed in Malaysia as the Chinese smartphone maker’s latest addition to its V series family, with the primary focus placed on imaging and endurance as they are the main upgrades this time around.
vivo V70 FE Is Here

New on the vivo V70 FE is the 1/1.56″ 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor (same as the newly-launched realme 16 Pro series) paired with CIPA 4.0 stabilization for its main camera, along with a claimed 30x zoom capabilities – but don’t expect quality to be great when this phone lacks any telephoto hardware, and vivo has declared AI assistance for which we argue this is not how camera zoom should work. Case in point, refer to our Google Pixel 10 Pro XL review. The secondary camera is an 8MP ultrawide, carried over from the preceding vivo V60 Lite.

The second highlight feature is the larger 7,000mAh BlueVolt battery with 90W fast charging support, and the chassis carries IP68/IP69 ratings for ingress protection, with a claimed submersion depth of 1.5 meters for 2 hours (like realme, vivo also claims it is capable of underwater photography). Since the V70 FE is physically larger than the standard V70 model, it’s expectedly heavier at 200g, while also sporting a 6.83-inch Q10+ AMOLED panel with 2800 x 1260 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, plus a claimed local peak brightness of 1,900 nits (the display bezels are narrower this time, too).

For processing, there’s no changes here – it carries the same MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset from the V60 Lite, comprising four Arm Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The processors are paired with varying amounts of LPDDR5 RAM as well as UFS 3.1 storage, while software now features the revamped OriginOS 6 as opposed to the FunTouch OS of old, with 6 years of security patches promised.

The vivo V70 FE is offered in Muse Purple, Ocean Blue, and Urban Silver colors as well as multiple configurations, including 8+256GB storage priced at RM1,599, 12+256GB storage priced at RM1,799, and 8+512GB storage priced at RM1,999 – do note that the most expensive variant will be exclusively available via online stores and telco channels.
