
Kota Kinabalu: A subsidiary company of VTS Group, VTS Property Collection Sdn Bhd, which is a developer of Sutera Bay@ Sadong, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Sabah-based Homesuite Sdn Bhd at VTS headquarters office at Sutera Avenue, here on Tuesday.
VTS Group Executive Director Mei Wong said this MoU is to officially engage Homesuite Sdn Bhd that provides a better service to all Sutera Bay buyers in managing the short-term rental businesses.
She said they are pleased to assign HomeSuite Sdn Bhd that has a reputation of rendering quality management services including sales and marketing of the short term stay as well as AirBnB.
“The Sutera Bay project is a new 15-storey commercial business suites consists of 283 units and 21 units retails outlet, and six-storey car park podium that was launched in 2020 and 90% of the units were sold out.
“The expected completion will be in April next year while the Occupation Certificate (OC) will be issued in June or July, next year.
“We target about 100 out of 283 units in Sutera Bay or more to sign with us to operate as AirBnB which HomeSuite Sdn Bhd will see them and offer their services to the buyers,” she said.
Mei said this to reporters after signing the MoU together with two Executive Directors namely Jeremy Wong and Terry Wong on behalf of VTS Property Collection Sdn Bhd while HomeSuite Sdn Bhd was represented by its Director Spencer Chiu Jin San, its Manager of Projects Melanie Oh Fui Yee, its Manager of Sales Operations Asther Wong Yee Ling, and its Manager of Ground Operations Yong Kui Chung, here on Sept 26.
She said Homesuite was chosen based on its successful proof of their commitment in optimizing property performance and guest satisfaction which can be seen in their high guest rating in review from various Online Travel Agencies (OTA) platforms such as Booking.com, Airbnb and Agoda, among others.
Mei said HomeSuite’s extensive experience in working closely with online travel agencies and real estate developers have earned them the reputation of being one of the most trusted partners in the region.
Meanwhile, HomeSuite Sdn Bhd director Spencer Chiu said they are grateful for being given this opportunity when signing the MoU with the reputable developer that has a long track of excellent record in property development.
He said the company was founded in 2017 by a visionary team of four business partners and has 50 staff that manage about 200 rooms in hotels, homestays and AirBnB in Kota Kinabalu area.
“We will meet each of the buyers in Sutera Bay@Sadong to offer our professional and quality management services including doing interior design, decoration, and renovation, and refurbishing, housekeeping and maintenance.
“Apart from relisting their units in the Online Travel Agencies (OTA), we will also do the sales and marketing for the units as well as handling the bookings for them,” Spencer said.
