Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Newcastle United will have an interesting season, while reserving some praise for new signing Joelinton.
The Reds unexpectedly went down to the Magpies at Anfield on Saturday, before recuperating to secure a dominant 3-1 victory.
But Klopp thinks Toon have a lot to be optimistic about for this season.
He said: "Joelinton did outstanding. He is 100% made for the Premier League.
"If you had to replace Rondon, which is already difficult, then that was a good choice.
"He was a really good signing.
"If you lose Ayoze Perez and Rondon, and you are playing with Joelinton, Atsu and when he is not injured Saint-Maximin, if they want to play that way, they have the people for it.
"It is really interesting.
"They had to replace Sean Longstaff and Jonjo Shelvey came on, they also have Ki on the bench.
"So they have options. It will be tricky for everybody to play against them."
