Karim Benzema made Real Madrid history on Wednesday as he scored twice in the 6-0 Champions League win over Galatasaray.

The Frenchman forward now has 50 goals for the club in the Champions League, overtaking the legendary Alfredo di Stefano as the club's third top scorer in the competition.

Only Ral (66) and Cristiano Ronaldo (105) have scored more than Benzema, but on Wednesday night it was a young Brazilian who eclipsed him: Rodrygo. The 18-year-old netted a hat-trick in the win.

"He's 18 but he has no fear and he's comfortable on the ball," Benzema said after the game. "I love it when I see a young player that plays likes that."

However, it was another quiet night for Eden Hazard, who has not had quite the same impact since his summer move from Chelsea.

"Little by little we're going to see that he is s a great player," Benzema added.
