Former Newcastle star Chris Waddle says the players "played for the shirt" in last night's win against PSG.
Newcastle thumped their Champions League opponents 4-1 at St James' Park.
Waddle said on BBC Radio: "The game was built up, it was about Paris coming here and can Newcastle handle them? Can they handle Dembele? Can they handle Ramos? They've handled it amazingly.
"They were outstanding, they're a unit Newcastle, they're a team. Sometimes you look at a certain player in a team and say he's a difference. I think with Newcastle, it's purely about the team.
"I think they've got good players, I wouldn't say they have a player the team is built around and to rely on. I think they all put a shift in and they're all together, they work and play for the shirt.
"Newcastle were a team and they were brilliant."
