Former Southampton attacker Theo Walcott is surprised James Ward-Prowse didn't find a top six move.
The England midfielder has been outstanding for West Ham since leaving Saints last summer.
Walcott retired after spending last season alongside Ward-Prowse and said on Sky Sports: "I can't lie I was surprised especially with the likes of Liverpool with (Jordan) Henderson moving on.
"There are reasons we may or may not know, but it is a perfect fit for David Moyes right now."
Ward-Prowse moved to the Hammers for 30m.
