Welsh defender Chris Mepham is the latest Bournemouth player to sign a new contract.

The defender has added two more years to his deal, which will now take him until the summer of 2025.

The 24-year-old has played 86 games for the club in all competitions.

He is the latest, including Mark Travers, Dom Solanke, Lewis Cook, Adam Smith and David Brooks, to sign an extension.

Neill Blake, Bournemouth Chief Executive, said: "Chris is an important player and a great character who has proven his value to the club over the last few years.

"We are very pleased that he, like many of his teammates, has committed his future to us and I'm sure he will continue to make a big contribution both on and off the pitch."

Mepham added: "I couldn't be happier to sign this deal.

"There is a unique togetherness and spirit that runs throughout this football club and I'm really excited to continue being a part of our journey over the next few years."
