Manchester City fullback Kyle Walker was delighted with victory at West Ham.
City kicked off their Premier League title defence with a win in London.
Walker said, "It is always important to start on the right foot. We started the year with a defeat, we wanted to redeem ourselves and we did it with an excellent performance.
"(Erling) Haaland? He was able to do better than Liverpool; he had missed a few chances there, today he put them in. He needs time and confidence and I am sure that the goals will come.
"Many teams are vying for the title, the season will be long. It will be important to maintain consistency, we want to do what we have done in the last 5 or 6 years already thinking about the next match."
