- Walmart shoppers are being warned to avoid eating Great Value Fruit Cocktail in Fruit Juice from Concentrate after a recent recall.
- More than 1,800 cases of the fruit cocktail, containing 24 units in each case, were recalled on Oct. 1 over concerns they could contain elevated levels of lead.
- The FDA classified the recall as a Class II on Oct. 20, which means use of or exposure to the product could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.
- The affected products were from lot 6FCB 04 C2263 with a “best if used by” date of Sept. 1, 2027.
- They were 15-ounces in size and were distributed by Walmart with a UPC: 078742369570.
