Walmart’s summer sale has landed – and the deals are just as good as Amazon Prime Day

Walmart’s summer sale has officially landed, both online and in stores. This event runs alongside Amazon Prime Day, so it gives shoppers a chance to shop further deals from another major retailer. Plus, it has the benefit of not needing a Prime membership to be able to shop the offers. Oh, and it runs slightly longer too, from 22 until 28 June.

Over at Amazon, Prime Day kicked off on Tuesday, 23 June, and will run until 26 June, exclusively for Prime members. Thousands of discounts are expected to rotate in and out over the course of the week, however, Walmart’s sale is worthy competition. Together, the two events have created a competitive shopping week, with both retailers lowering prices across popular categories. From big-ticket tech to everyday essentials, both sales are live, and you might even find some cheaper deals at Walmart.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+: Was $249.99, now $169, Walmart.com

 (Samsung)

The galaxy tab A11+ features an 11in display that’s ideal for streaming, browsing, and everyday tasks. It’s perfect for multitasking, thanks to its upgraded chip, plus it comes with fast charging, and expandable storage of up to 2TB for all your apps, photos, and files.

Granted, there’s not a whole lot in this price difference compared to Amazon’s offering ($169.99, Amazon.com), but if saving 99 cents matters to you, you’ll find this cheaper in Walmart’s summer sale.

Dyson spot+scrub ai robot vacuum: Was $1,199.99, now $845, Walmart.com

 (Dyson)

When tech writer Steve Hogarty reviewed this robot vacuum, he said it could be “counted among the best”. Navigation and cleaning power stood out, and he wrote in his Dyson spot+scrub review: “The spot+scrub AI’s suction power and overall cleaning performance are top-tier, handling everything from fine flour to scattered rice with the competence you’d expect from the brand.”

Currently, this robot vacuum has been reduced to $849.99 at Amazon, and you’ll find it ever so slightly cheaper at Walmart with no membership needed.

Nespresso vertuo pop coffee and espresso maker: Was $94.97, now $84.97, Walmart.com

 (Nespresso)

This machine gives you single serve coffee in five cup sizes, from espresso to full coffee, all brewed at the touch of a button using Nespresso vertuo capsules. It reads each pod’s code for precise brewing, heats up in 30 seconds and has an automatic used pod ejection.

You’ll find the pop+ reduced for Prime Day (was $159.95, now $94.05, Amazon.com), which makes taller coffees but uses the same brewing system. If that’s a feature you can go without, you’ll make a saving a Walmart.

Apple airpods pro 3: Was $249, now $179, Walmart.com

 (Apple)

The Apple airpods pro 3 are “still some of the best wireless earbuds I’ve tested,” wrote our tech critic David Phelan in his AirPods Pro 3 review. With strong noise cancellation, heart-rate tracking, and features that monitor your hearing health, he was seriously impressed.

He continued: “The AirPods Pro 3 still offer some of the best ANC I've used on a pair of wireless earbuds. While most noise-cancelling systems excel at quelling repetitive sounds such as aircraft engines, the AirPods Pro 3 are noticeably better at reducing more sudden noises, including traffic and busy city streets.”

If you don’t have a Prime membership, you can get them for about the same price at Walmart.

Apple 11in iPad A16: Was $349, now $299, Walmart.com

 (Apple)

This is dubbed Apple’s most affordable iPad by our senior tech critic, Alex Lee. After testing the tablet, he wrote in his iPad review: “The A16 chip gives it a healthy speed boost, doubling the base storage finally makes sense, and the price feels actually affordable for something from Apple.”

It’s been reduced by 14 per cent at Amazon (was $349, now $299, Amazon.com), and Walmart has matched this price.

Beats powerbeats pro 2: Was $249, now $179.96, Walmart.com

 (Beats)

After putting them to the test, tech reporter Andrew Griffin claimed that the Beats powerbeats pro 2 are “better than the AirPods in many ways.” Sound is just one of them, which he described in his Beats powerbeats review: “The sound of the Powerbeats Pro 2 is fantastic: hefty enough to power you through a workout, but not so robust that you will miss the details of what you are listening to.”

They’ve been reduced to $179.95 at Amazon (Amazon.com), and you can get them for about the same price at Walmart.
