Malaysian politician Wan Ahmad Fayhsal is under public scrutiny after announcing a public fund set up to aid former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin following his corruption charges.
In his Instagram post, he attached the Tabung Hibah Abah public fund poster dated 9th March with a caption: "Let's help free Abah (Muhyiddin) tomorrow!" in relation to his arrest by the MACC.
Malaysians came flooding in the comments, denouncing it. "(He's) already wealthy, but is still begging for sumbangan from the rakyat." says one of the replies. Another commenter said, "Donations are better made towards the flood victims instead of for someone who already has a lot."
