
RANAU: A total of 80 people participated in a food processing course here organised by Wanita Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Kundasang, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture Ranau and committee members (AJK) of PBS Kundasang Division.
The course was chaired by the Women’s Movement Committee of PBS Kundasang, Waslinah Selusi and was held at the Perdana Hall of SK Malinsau at the weekend.
The participants were taught to process Sabah bananas into other food items by the Department of Agriculture staff led by Ranau’s Assistant Agriculture Officer, Nur Hafizatun Ramlan.
At the inauguration, Deputy Chief Minister who is also a Member of the Kundasang State Assembly, Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, stressed the importance and benefits of proper training and guidance to the participants of the course, especially those involved in the food preparation industry.
