WANTED: An untainted, educated, fair-minded, experienced, business savvy, independently wealthy person with leadership skills to manage a highly sensitive pluralistic society!
PH led by Anwar does not trust Zahid of BN-UMNO, Muhyiddin Yassin, and Hadi Awang of PN or the father and son team of Tun M-Mukriz of Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA).
On the other hand, neither do the other three Malay-based coalitions when it comes to Anwar Ibrahim-Rafizi Ramli partnership in PH dominated by DAP.
Unless one of these coalitions emerges victorious with a convincing majority the parties involved would have to find a way out of this mutual distrust to govern Malaysia in a unified fashion.
That means some form of a unity government may yet be a possible solution with all parties represented at all levels of decision making.
So for the nation to get back on its feet after GE15, they would have to find an "honest-broker" PM to bridge the gap and mediate for the good of the country, in the event of a hung Parliament.
The people below the two leaders of each coalition deserve closer scrutiny.
We have been doing some digging into candidates announced by the coalitions and found a few gems. But we would like to share that at a later date when readers offer their own choices.
Meanwhile, we are glad to inform you that we did comb lists from various parties looking for an untainted, well-educated, fair-minded, experienced, business savvy, independently wealthy person with leadership skills capable of managing a highly sensitive pluralistic society to keep Malaysia peaceful, progressive and prosperous into the coming decades, if not the next century.
It is a difficult task to say the least. One candidate that we found has a great personality and most promising but is unfortunately charged with corruption.
It's sad because politicians in this country rose from the ranks with minimal education and rudimentary knowledge of business law and economics. They went into politics to earn a living and not to serve the public.
Some are street fighters who have great manipulative skills to win votes and nothing between their ears.
But most of all they are tainted with proven and yet-to-be-proven cases of corruption that if convicted would send all of them to jail on a combined sentence of a thousand years or more.
However, there are a few well-educated technologically savvy individuals yet untainted but do not have the leadership skills and adequate experience to run a plural society like Malaysia. These we ought to develop to lead the nation in the future.
In case of a hung Parliament where no coalition would want to accept candidates from outside their own coalition, the King once again would be forced to intervene in calling for a candidate who may likely command a majority of the House.
We hope those that are on our list would be chosen.
However, they are not exactly perfect but they are certainly better than what we have now on the main lineup for GE15.
