Kota Kinabalu: Warisan president Shafie Apdal said the party will contest in all 25 parliamentary seats in Sabah, and also the Labuan seat, in the coming 15th general election (GE15).
He said Warisan had also identified several states in Peninsular Malaysia where it planned to contest – such as Penang, Perlis, Kedah, Selangor, Johor, Perak and Kelantan.
The party has identified their candidates and names would be announced soon, Shafie told reporters at a press conference held at Warisan’s headquarters here.
Warisan had previously expressed its intention to collaborate with Parti Bersatu Sabah, but the latter decided to stick with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.
Shafie’s party had earlier severed ties with Pakatan Harapan, which means it will be going solo in GE15.
Shafie also said the party would retain several old faces while fielding some fresh faces.
“What is more important is that the candidates are winnable. These candidates don’t have to be division leaders. If they are not fielded, I hope they will not get disappointed and boycott (the election),” he added.
