In a recent incident, the police are actively pursuing two men who weaponised a fire extinguisher to carry out a robbery at a grocery store in Yan, Kedah.
Yan Police Chief, Shahnaz Akhtar Haji, disclosed that the robbery took place last Thursday when two men entered a grocery store located in Taman Desa Aman, Guar Chempedak.
According to Shahnaz, the suspects targeted a female employee, spraying a fire extinguisher in her direction before making a swift move to snatch the cash machine. Subsequently, both perpetrators fled the scene, leaving the store in chaos.

The police are currently intensifying efforts to locate and apprehend the two suspects. Shahnaz emphasized that the case is under investigation, falling under Section 395 of the Penal Code.
The shocking incident gained widespread attention on social media after CCTV footage from the store circulated last Saturday. The video captured the moment when the grocery store employee, in an attempt to evade the fire extinguisher spray, was left seated in distress.
