A four-wheel drive vehicle (4WD) recently encountered trouble in the flooded tunnel route from Kelana Jaya to Ara Damansara, Selangor.

The viral video was uploaded on Twitter by @adibhazlami. The footage displayed the driver of the blue 4x4 attempting to manoeuvre through the floodwaters, with the vehicle emitting smoke, ultimately unable to make headway.

The virtual user highlighted the persisting road issues in the area, emphasizing the lack of solutions despite continual complaints to the Petaling Jaya City Council (@pjcitycouncil) since August.

Expressing disappointment, the user specifically reached out to Dr. Fahmi Ngah, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Islamic Religious Affairs, Halal Industry, Digital Infrastructure, and Science, Technology, Innovation (STI) Funding, regarding the recurring problem of severe potholes during floods. The virtual user cited the frequent flooding on the road during flash floods and the poor condition of the potholes.

Despite complaints on the KKR's myjalan application to the Minister of Public Works, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi (@AlexNantaLinggi) and the Selangor Public Works Department (@JKRSelangor) since the beginning of October, no action or statement has yet been released by the authorities in response to the incident.

Earlier today, Dr. Fahmi Ngah directed the PJ City Council to inspect the tunnel site and identify the cause of the flooding, which was found to be a large drain clogged with soil within the LRT project hoarding. MBPJ will clean the area, and resolve the issue by the end of the day.
