Internet conspiracy theorists are claiming Katy Perry’s spaceflight was a hoax, after footage of a door-opening incident surfaced after the flight.
The video appears to show the Blue Origin capsule door being opened from the inside before Jeff Bezos arrived to perform a dramatic hatch opening using a tool.
Some viewers pointed to this as evidence the launch was staged, arguing that, under “safety protocols,” the door should only be operable from the outside.
Despite the speculation, the star-studded flight successfully launched from West Texas on Monday at 9:31 a.m. and was livestreamed worldwide.
