The poorer the country’s healthcare is, the more lively the citizens become???
At least that was what stand-up comedian, Atsuka Okatsuka, had picked up from all the people-watching she did from visiting a total of 27 countries in the past.
Sitting down in a podcast with Bailingguo News, Okatsuka shared her POV on lively vs quiet countries, giving a scale of 1-27 on how the citizens differ in terms of demeanour based on “poor vs great healthcare”.
Surprisingly, she went on to rank Malaysia as third, followed by Philippines and Indonesia- saying that most people she met in these countries had often laughed at just about anything.
Her comments were met with divided reactions, with Malaysians defending our sense of humour being as a coping mechanism against stress instead.
