Dolly Parton said she had been “blessed with a life full of stories” as she promoted a new exhibition of her life in her final appearance just weeks before her death at the age of 80.

The country music legend was in characteristically good spirits as she promoted the My Life of Many Colors Museum in an Instagram video on August 12, which chronicles her rise from humble beginnings to global icon and philanthropist.

Parton’s death was announced by her nephew on social media on Tuesday (August 25).
