A 61-year-old father, Ayub Abdul Ghani, quit smoking after 40 years to give a kidney to his son, Dr Mohamad Zulkifli, who was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2020.
The transplant, done at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, was successful.
Ayub's selfless effort moved netizens, who praised his dedication and affection for his son.
He elaborated: "I just want my son to have the best life he can."
