Local residents in Kea Farm, Pahang, have expressed anger and disgust after a woman, believed to be a tourist from China, was caught on closed-circuit television (CCTV) defecating within the premises of a homestay, sparking widespread condemnation.
The incident, which occurred recently, stirred public outrage as the CCTV footage revealed the woman leaving her waste on the roadside before hastily departing the area.
Mohd. Hisham Rahman, a 35-year-old resident, lamented that the woman's behavior has marred the reputation of well-mannered Chinese tourists visiting the popular tourist destination.
Expressing his dismay on Facebook, Hisham emphasized the ripple effect of her actions, highlighting the unlikelihood of a lack of restroom facilities within the homestay compound.
"The impact of one person's actions affects others. It's implausible for there not to be restroom facilities, especially within a homestay compound. It's unreasonable if the owner denied restroom access to someone genuinely in need," Rahman voiced his discontent.

The CCTV footage, circulated widely on the Info Cameron Highlands Group page on Facebook has been shared to other social media platforms as well, inviting criticism for the woman's behavior.
