A firefighter deployed to the Gironde wildfires in France has shared a dramatic video he filmed while batting the blaze as flames race through agricultural land.
The video, filmed from firefighter Kara Nabil's helmet camera, captures thick smoke, towering flames and emergency crews working in hazardous conditions to contain the fast-moving blaze.
France has faced multiple wildfires in recent weeks as prolonged heat and dry weather have heightened fire risks across the country.
Thousands of hectares have already burned, with rescue crews supported by aircraft and emergency services preventing the fires from spreading to nearby communities.
President Emmanuel Macron urged officials to "stay strong" as they attempt to bring the "unprecedented" blazes under control.
