A viral video captures a dramatic chase between police vehicles and a Perodua Bezza in Cyberjaya.
In the footage, the Bezza is seen being pursued by many police patrol cars, with information suggesting that the police chased the suspect's car from Sunway, Petaling Jaya (PJ) to Cyberjaya.
The Perodua Bezza was reportedly occupied by three men and a woman, driving suspiciously before police on patrol attempted to apprehend them. However, the suspects accelerated the vehicle, prompting the police to pursue them.
Following the incident, a man and a woman were detained, while two other men managed to jump out and escape. Further examination revealed burglary tools inside the suspect's vehicle. Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid, Chief of the Petaling Jaya District Police, confirmed the incident and the arrest of two suspects.
The video of the chase, which went viral on social media, received various responses from netizens initially considering it a movie scene and likening it to the video game Grand Theft Auto (GTA). However, many also shared how is it possible that not even one Honda Civic was able to overtake a Perodua Bezza. This might certainly increase the sales of the local car.
