In a now viral video on X, posted by @update1111, hundreds of motorbikes were seen driving against traffic, causing a major interruption on the Bagan, Penang highway.
It is said to be a group of ‘mat rempits’ to have cause this chaotic situation on the road.
In the video, a car with its hazard lights on is seen attempting to make its way through the crowd of riders travelling in the opposite direction.
Cars were forced into one lane because of the overwhelming amount of motorcyclists taking up two lanes.
Online, the footage has caused a great deal of outrage, with many people denouncing the riders' risky actions.
Netizens are also checking in to ask where were the police when something like this occurred.
However, majority of the Malaysians are condemning the action of the ‘mat rempits’, calling them poorly educated and a waste youth.
