Watch live Donald Trump welcomes King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the White House on Tuesday (28 April) as their US state visit continues.
A ceremonial welcome has begun on the White House south lawn in rainy Washington DC.
It comes ahead of His Majesty’s address to Congress. The King will use his speech to say the story of the UK and US since America’s independence is “one of the greatest alliances in human history” where the two nations find ways to “come together”.
The address on the second day of the royal state visit to both Houses is likely to be seen as acknowledging tensions between the US President and Sir Keir Starmer, who have clashed over the American leader’s war against Iran.
