Liverpool U18 defender Luca Furnell-Gill escaped a red after an ugly attack on Manchester United striker Ethan Wheatley.
United won a see-sawing game 4-3, with Wheatley on the scoresheet.
The incident occurred in the second-half, as United were breaking in attack, Wheatley sought to obstruct Furnell-Gill's attempts to close down his team-mate, but as they collided, the Liverpool player sucker-punched him before continuing his run.
Wheatley stayed on his feet as the referee failed to award a free-kick for the offense.
Then later, Furnell-Gill had his back to Wheatley, before throwing an elbow into 18-year-old's face. Again the Reds defender avoided action from the ref.
