A Malaysian man has been hailed as a real-life hero after a heart-stopping moment where he fearlessly leaped into a large gutter to rescue a woman clinging to her car, which had plummeted into the waterway and was at risk of sinking. The dramatic 14-second video clip of the heroic act quickly went viral across social media platforms.
In the viral footage, the unidentified man is seen diving courageously into the deep, swift-flowing water to reach the submerged car and help the woman, who was clinging onto the partially submerged car.
Authorities confirmed that the car, driven by a man and a woman, lost control and ended up plunging into the gutter. It reportedly happened in Jalan Bukit Samsu, Jalan Kota Tinggi-Mersing. Thanks to the swift response and selfless intervention of the unidentified man, both individuals in the vehicle were successfully rescued and are reported to be safe.
