A businessman recently made a controversial post on TikTok where he claimed to have discovered a "secret" food court exclusively for the B40 class.
However, his delivery and classification of the food court based on people's income drew criticism from netizens.
The businessman argued that the food court was meant for those on a tight budget as the food was reasonably priced.
He claimed that only people in the B40 income bracket ate there, which many people found unnecessary and offensive.
Netizens were quick to point out that the food court was not a secret and had been around for years.
It is called Makan Place and is open to everyone, regardless of income bracket.
Many people also shared their positive experiences eating at the food court and argued that the businessman's claims were baseless.

However, the majority of netizens felt that his comments were unnecessary and contributed to further divisions among Malaysians.
