An 18-year-old man has been jailed after threatening a chicken shop worker with a fake gun over a missing garlic sauce order in south London.

Marwan Khadir carried out the attack on Christmas Eve, returning to the takeaway to confront the employee before pulling out a realistic imitation firearm and threatening to kill him.

The victim was also assaulted during the incident. Khadir was identified through CCTV and arrested days later.

He pleaded guilty to multiple charges and was sentenced to three years in prison at Woolwich Crown Court, police confirmed.
