Watch: Moment Russian drone hits bridge in Ukraine’s Kyiv

Eyewitness video showed the moment a Russian drone struck the North Bridge in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv on Sunday (4 October).

The attacks came amid a visit by German chancellor Friedrich Merz, who arrived in the city in a show of support for president Volodymyr Zelensky.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Telegram the strike hit the roadway of the bridge that had already been attacked on Saturday (3 October).

Russia has been attacking Kyiv's bridges since last week in an effort to disrupt links between the capital's two banks and logistics routes between central and eastern Ukraine.
