The Reform UK leader is set to make a statement on his “future in public life”, as he faces intense scrutiny over donations made by a convicted criminal.
It follows intense pressure following reports that long-term ally convicted criminal George Cottrell had provided funding for security and staffing in the year before he was elected.
Labour has asked the Electoral Commission to investigate whether the support should have been declared because Mr Farage was a prominent figure in Reform even before he returned to frontline politics.
It is the latest financial scandal to engulf Mr Farage, who is already being investigated by the standards commissioner over a £5 million gift the MP received from crypto-billionaire Christopher Harborne.
