  • North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the test launch of strategic cruise missiles from the nation’s new 5,000-ton naval destroyer, Chloe Hyon, North Korea’s state media has said.
  • The test on Tuesday, March 10 saw missiles fly for nearly three hours over the Yellow Sea before hitting island targets, according to Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
  • State-run television footage showed Kim Jong Un and his teenage daughter observing the launch from what appeared to be a command centre.
  • According to KCNA, Kim Jong Un stated that “important successes” have been made in “putting the strategic and tactical strike means on a practical basis and deploying them for an actual war.”
