A concerning video has emerged from a petrol station in Taman Nirwana, Ampang, showing two young boys engaging in potentially hazardous refueling behavior under apparent adult supervision. The incident, which was captured on video and shared widely on social media platforms including Facebook, has sparked serious safety concerns among Malaysian netizens.

In the footage, two children, estimated to be around 8 years old, were recorded filling up a black Honda City while the car's engine remained running and a door was left open - both serious safety violations at petrol stations. What made the situation particularly alarming was that an adult, presumably their guardian, remained seated in the vehicle throughout the process.

The video shows one child initially handling the fuel pump, before being joined by his younger brother who exited from the front passenger seat to assist. Throughout the entire refueling process, the car's engine continued running, creating a significant fire hazard. Additionally, the open car door posed an additional risk due to the potential for static electricity generation.

The incident was recorded by a concerned bystander, who can be heard in the video expressing his worry about the dangerous situation unfolding before him. "These kids must be only around 8 years old. Refilling the car like this can cause an explosion. Don't they (the driver) love their children?" the witness can be heard saying. He added, "If you want to teach your children, teach them properly."

While the incident fortunately concluded without any adverse events, with both children returning safely to the vehicle before it drove away, it has raised important questions about parental responsibility and safety awareness at petrol stations. The original social media post labeled the incident as "Negligent... Endangering children's lives."
