You may have heard that it's generally not advisable to mix different types of fuels, but Pak Cik Shell has a different take on it. According to him, there's a trick to maintaining cars by doing so.
Pak Cik Shell claims that you can mix both RON95 and RON97 fuels, as long as you avoid adding diesel. For a cleaner engine, he suggests refilling the tank with RON95 a few times until it runs empty and then filling up with RON97.
He explains that RON97 contains a higher percentage of iso-octane and also serves as a cleaning agent. Therefore, if your tank is full of RON97, it has a higher chance of cleaning the engine and fuel injector more effectively.
