The roof structure of a petrol station in Batu 8, Bukit Garam, near Kinabatangan, Sabah, collapsed during heavy rain and strong winds around 4:30 PM on Monday. The incident resulted in damage to six vehicles parked at the station, including a Perodua Alza, Perodua Myvi, Proton Exora, Proton X70, Toyota Vigo, and Isuzu D-Max.

Nurul Azlan Shah Jalalludin, the Chief of the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station, stated that the department received a distress call regarding the incident at 4:47 PM. "Upon inspection, we confirmed that no one was involved or reported injured in the incident, " he said.

A team of seven firefighters was dispatched to the scene, which is located approximately six kilometers from the Kinabatangan Fire Station. Upon arrival, the team worked to clear the fallen roof structure to ensure the area was safe. Nurul Azlan Shah noted that the operation was concluded at 6:59 PM after confirming that the location was secure.
