In a moment of bravery and quick thinking, a few caring members of the community stepped in to thwart a robbery against a fellow pedestrian.
The incident unfolded in Taman Desa Wira, Batu Kawa, near Kuching, around 7:54 AM today. The victim, a 58-year-old individual, was simply taking a walk alone when two assailants on a motorcycle targeted her, attempting to snatch her handbag.
Eyewitnesses recounted that as the criminals closed in on the victim, a passing car took immediate action by blaring their horn to alert others. Another vehicle quickly blocked the assailants' escape route by pulling up in front of them, and the driver leaped out to confront them physically. Upon seeing this, other bystanders rushed to the scene, joining in to disrupt the robbery attempt and ensure the victim's safety.
