Festive seasons are often a time for self reflection and a time for all of us to work to be better people. This is why the most emotional and heart wrenching adverts appear during such festive seasons in hopes of reminding us of all.

Recently, an advert by Saji Malaysia drew plenty of praise from fellow Malaysians for the story telling and the message it was trying to convey to the audience.

The advert which was made for this year’s Ramadan is titled ‘Sabar’ (Patience) and features Malaysian showbiz legend, Datuk Ahmad Azhar Othman, or better known by his stage name, Awie.

The message that the advert is trying to convey across is for all of us to be more patient with one another and this is conveyed through the story.

The ad starts off with a Chinese and Indian ladies talking in a car while at a traffic light near a mosque. However, they soon faced some complications as their car had broken down in the middle of the road.

While the couple in the car behind them were insulting them for not moving and for wasting their time, the people of the mosque who witnessed the incident had come out and decided to help push the car into the mosque.

The two ladies ended up having to wait for the mechanic to arrive to help fix their car and while waiting, they ended up breaking fast with the mosquegoers.

The advert has since gone viral on multiple social media platforms. Netizens were quick to praise the brand for coming up with such an inspiring and meaningful advert.
