In Kuala Lumpur, a stray dog named Lucky has become a symbol of resilience and compassion after a devastating accident nearly cost him everything.

Lucky was hit by a car and left paralysed from the waist down. Many would have written him off, but Shan, the founder of animal rescue initiative Woof My Roof, refused to give up. Having fed and cared for Lucky long before the accident, she knew she couldn't leave him behind in his time of need.

What followed was a long and demanding journey of recovery. Over the course of several months, Lucky underwent medical treatment, rehabilitation, scans, and even acupuncture sessions to help restore his health and spirit.

After 138 days of tireless effort, the once-immobile stray is now thriving. While Lucky still awaits a permanent, loving home, his transformation is proof that compassion can change lives.

"Every life matters, and one person's love can change a world," Shan said, holding onto hope that Lucky's forever family will soon come along.
