Watch: Travellers flee as Venezuela airport ceiling crumbles after earthquake

Travellers ran for cover as an airport ceiling crumbled after a double earthquake struck Venezuela on Wednesday (24 June).

Eyewitness Wilmer Azuaje shared videos from Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, just outside Caracas. Footage showed people running as debris fell around them.

Two earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck within 39 seconds of each other, causing widespread damage in the capital.

At least 32 people were killed and 700 injured after the powerful back-to-back earthquakes, interim president Delcy Rodriguez said.
