President Donald Trump struggled to fasten a Medal of Honor around a major’s neck during a ceremony at the White House on Thursday (18 June).
The moment drew widespread attention as Trump appeared to have difficulty securing the medal clasp while presenting the nation’s highest military decoration to Second Lieutenant Nicholas Dockery, United States Army.
After several attempts, he finally decided to tie a knot instead.
The president then praised lieutenant Dockery’s service and sacrifice.
