Four men have been detained by the police following a brawl that took place at a temple in Raub last Sunday, according to Raub District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Shahril Abd Rahman.

The four men, whose ages range between 23 and 44, were apprehended in the vicinity of the area around 8 PM on the same day.

Police were alerted to the incident at 2:46 PM. and promptly dispatched a team of officers to the scene to manage the situation. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the altercation involved a group of 10 to 15 individuals.

The brawl reportedly erupted as some individuals attempted to move their vehicles from the temple area, only to find their path obstructed by a line of other vehicles.

"This situation led to a verbal altercation, which escalated into a brawl, damaging two four-wheeled vehicles," stated Mohd Shahril in a released statement.

Three men sustained injuries during the altercation and were subsequently taken to Hospital Raub for medical treatment.

Mohd Shahril disclosed that the case is currently under investigation under Section 148 of the Penal Code. Efforts to identify and apprehend other suspects involved in the incident are currently underway.
