SHAH ALAM, Oct 9 — The water supply to areas in Kuala Lumpur affected by an unscheduled water cut due to a burst pipe in Pasar Seni yesterday has been fully restored as of 9am today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd announced this in its latest update on social media this morning.

“We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the consumers for their patience and cooperation throughout this period of unscheduled water supply disruption,” it said.

Yesterday, Air Selangor said several areas in the capital will face a water cut until today due to the burst pipe, with repair works being conducted since 6am.

It initially said repairs were set to be completed by 1am today, with full water supply recovery by 1pm, although the timing was later revised to 9am.

To minimise the impact of the disruption on consumers, Air Selangor provided alternative water supply to affected areas since yesterday evening.

Among the areas affected were Brickfields, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Bukit Bangsar, Parliament, Bukit Tunku, Damansara Heights, Kampung Attap, and Taman Duta.
