TAWAU: The clean water supply problem on Sebatik Island here is worsening, even though many proposals and studies have been carried out.
Sebatik Assemblyman Datuk Hassan A Ghani Pg Amir said the more than 6,000 islanders are now facing difficulties when the clean water supply is cut off, following the dry season – a perennial woe.
He said the issue had been brought to the District Action Meeting for a short-term solution in the event of a drought, but still no solution had been taken.
